Salzburg Memory Box / Urn

The Salzburg Memory Box Urn is as much a work of art as it is a memorial. Its curved chest shape is finished in warm terracotta tones with hand-painted drapery details. A medallion sits at the center front, and a striped pagoda-style lid and ornate gold-tone feet complete the piece.

More than a cremation urn, it is a memory chest, with room inside for letters, photographs or small mementos alongside the remains. It looks at home on a sideboard, dresser or entry table, and draws attention as a centerpiece rather than blending in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size urn do I need?

A common guideline is one cubic inch of capacity for every pound of body weight before cremation, so a 220 cubic inch urn like the Salzburg Memory Box Urn generally fits an adult who weighed up to about 220 pounds.

Can a memory chest urn be buried?

Memory chests are designed mainly for display at home. If you are planning a burial, ask your cemetery whether an urn vault can accommodate it, or pair the chest with a smaller burial urn.

How do I care for a wood urn?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep the chest away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Avoid chemical cleaners, which can dull the finish and decorative details.

When will my order ship?

Place your order before 1:00 PM CST on a weekday and it ships the same business day. Anything placed later ships the next business day. We are open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
